Our Rooms

The Harbor Inn features seven distinct guest rooms—each with its own New England character. Two spacious suites are perfect for families or friends traveling together, and we welcome well-behaved dogs in our Sandpiper Cottage. Every room includes premium toiletries, a hair dryer, luggage rack, and individual temperature control via quiet mini-splits. Most bathrooms have been beautifully updated with classic tilework.

Gravelly Brook

A guest favorite, Gravelly Brook is named after the road that leads to Emmons Preserve, a local hiking spot. This spacious and cheerful corner room is adorned in coastal hues of blue, coral, and lemon, and features two inviting window seats and an innerspring bed. A sitting area and electric fireplace add to the room’s charm, making it an ideal spot to relax after a day exploring. Gravelly Brook is kept comfortable with quiet mini-split climate control.

Gravelly Brook’s renovated bathroom, though on the smaller side, exudes old-world charm with its classic tilework.

Goose Rocks

One of our cozier rooms, Goose Rocks is full of coastal character and comfort. Named for the beloved local beach—often hailed as one of New England’s finest—this calm space is dressed in sea-inspired shades of teal and blue.

Afternoon sunlight bathes the sitting area through the west-facing windows, creating a peaceful place to unwind. The room features a comfortable innerspring mattress, a remodeled bathroom with classic tiles, and a quiet mini-split system to provide climate-control.

Beachwood

A spacious corner room, Beachwood’s namesake is the original name of the famed Goose Rocks Beach. Featuring a westward facing sitting area and an innerspring mattress, Beachwood is decorated in rose and blue, with touches of lemon. Beachwood features windows both west and north toward Kennebunkport, giving it some of the inn’s best views of the area.

Beachwood is temperature controlled through a mini-split, and has a renovated bath with classic tilework.

Cape Porpoise

Cape Porpoise, located at the top of our second story stairwell, takes its name from the charming hamlet just up the coast – a  must-see during your visit. Appointed in tones of blue, Cape Porpoise is a serene room with views of the side garden toward Kennebunkport.

Cape Porpoise features an innerspring mattress, a sitting area, and a mini-split for temperature control. Its renovated bathroom, though on the smaller side, exudes old-world charm with its classic tilework.

Dock Square Suite

Dock Square Suite, whose moniker hails from the nickname for downtown Kennebunkport, is one of our two suites on the third floor that is designed for friends or family traveling together. Each of the suite’s queen bedrooms has its own entry door and key, and a jack and jill bath connects the two bedrooms.

Each room features an innerspring mattress, a sitting area, and mini-split for temperature control. The bath itself features a beautiful stained glass window and a tub with a rainshower (albeit with somewhat limited headroom).

Stone Suite

Situated on the third floor, Stone Suite is the ideal getaway for families or friends traveling together. Consisting of two rooms, the main room features a king-size memory foam bed, a cozy sitting area, and a mini-split for temperature control. The charming side room offers two innerspring twin beds perfect for children or extra guests. The bath has been beautifully renovated with classic tiles.

Sandpiper Cottage

Ideal for our dog-owners or simply for guests seeking a little extra privacy or independence, Sandpiper Cottage sits just steps from the main inn. This charming, dog-friendly studio-style cottage features a snug but fully-equipped kitchen, a private patio, queen memory foam bed, spacious sitting area, articulating TV, dedicated Wi-Fi, reserved parking, and a full bath. The cottage is equipped with a mini-split system for climate control, and, like all of our guest rooms, Sandpiper includes premium toiletries, a hair dryer, and luggage rack.

While breakfast is not included for guests of Sandpiper Cottage (due to limited space in our dining room), we provide a few basic provisions to help you settle in comfortably. Guests are warmly welcomed to enjoy all the other amenities, charm, and hospitality of the main inn just next door.

Sandpiper Cottage has a two-night minimum and is ideal for longer stays, with escalating discounts for stays of 3+ nights.
